We do have pretty specific standards as to what we will use and who we will work with in a breeding. We will only work with a breeder who takes breeding seriously and will take responsibility for the puppies produced. All our dogs are Hip, Eye, Elbow Certified, DNA profiled with ASCA & AKC, DNA tested for MDR1, Cataracts mutation in addition to other testing. We also show and are working on titles in multiple venues to ensure that they measure up in quality and abilities. We Consider these things and traits in our breeding dogs, so expect this level of commitment. We do not breed only fill the demand for the pet market. We REQUIRE At LEAST a 5 generation pedigree, several photos of your bitch (if we cannot meet in person) proof of health testing and pedigree info you have collected on your bitch and her family tree. Because we do put a high value on a dogs personality and temperament in addition to conformation and type. We do expect to see titles or evidence that a dog can be titled or working on titles. Our Stud services are all on a written contract for a FEE. We may on occasion consider a puppy back option only IF the litter has something we may want to add to our breeding program. We do not take puppies as a "fee" with the intention to sell off to another party. Our contract includes a standard "stud service" agreement. We also include in our contract requirements that in the placement/selling of the pups resulting from this breeding be sold also on your own contract that includes a warranty (this MUST be at least 2 years), lifetime support/takeback, We also expect to see requirements of Spay/neuter of "pet" quality dogs and NO breeding of "show" quality dogs before health clearances and titles are completed. We do expect feedback from you as the breeder as to what is produced and updates on all the resulting puppies. This includes updates on not just what is born, sexes and colors but, health clearances, current health status, titles, temperaments and "if" bred what they produce. We do expect a level of continued communication after the litter is bred and placed. If you have ANY questions as to what we require for "Health" testing on your female and the puppies. We follow the testing recommendations HERE Sound complicated? Well breeding IS complicated. If you have any questions feel free to ask, it is PART of the learning process. We are always happy to talk with someone and answer questions. We are not however willing to endorse or support sloppy, unethical breeding practices, or work with breeders who do not share our commitment to produce and place sound dogs and responsibility of being a good breeder. |
| There IS No size variety in Aussies. Both ASCA and USASA do not recognize a size variety of Australian shepherd. We do not breed "designer" dogs Our dogs and their offspring cannot be bred to any dog advertised, sold or registered with another registry as a "mini" "toy" or Mini American Shepherd. |
