| About our leads, Collars and products WE are currently taking a bit of a break on custom orders for a few months while we work with our current litter of puppies We Offer a line of Braided Kangaroo leather leads and collars Custom braided flat buckle English bridle leather collars and some select other Dog related items. About our Braided products..We use Kangaroo because of its fine grain , Strength and unique properties. As WE DO MAKE our braided LEADS!!.. All of our leads are conditioned and treated and rolled to ensure a nice even braid. We do Braid over a core for most of our leads. Cores (generally high test braided line) WE DO NOT USE NYLON FISHING LINE!! Cores are added to give some additional strength and prevent stretching, But PROPER prep work on the leather is Vital for a well finished lead The truth about Kangaroo leads... Kangaroo is strong, BUT.... They CAN break if abused, conditioned with the wrong products, or being a natural product there is a hidden flaw in the hide that is not obvious when the lace is cut. I currently work with 1/8" (-3mm) lace in a standard 4 or 6 thong round braid. Each lead has a finished width of 1/8-1/4 thick. 4 thong leads are thinner, 6 thong leads a bit thicker. It is important to be realistic about the dog you will be using your lead on, and your responsibility to choose appropriately. I personally use prefer a 4 thong lead with my Aussies, with the 1 1/2 " sized snap, or attached to a collar, or a 6 thong lead with the pullers. I do stand behind my leashes, so In some cases if a lead brakes, I may be able to repair or replace it at no charge or minimal charge to you. For repairs, you are responsible for shipping back to me and sending a SASE to return it... I do also take a limited number of "made to order" We are expanding our Leash line and offer leads with unfinished ends, so as the buyer you have the option of choosing you end style, add a snap or loop, collar.. Or if you would like WE CAN ADD BEADS to a Ready to ship lead. Full custom orders (made from start to finish) can take 1-2 weeks to make and ship. Orders are limited by what I am working on, or sometimes if I have a particular color of lace or beads in stock. ABOUT BEADS.. Beaded leads are generally limited the smaller 4 thong braids. WE ONLY USE BEADS that allow us to keep the braid continues under the bead. This keeps the strength, but does limit our beading options. Price for BEADED LEADS is the cost of the lead PLUS the cost of the bead work. I try to find/use really nice beads, I use plastic Glass, Sterling etc. A beaded lead is not only attractive but a piece of "fine" jewelry for your deserving dog. Beads can and do add to the expense of the lead. The more beads Sets of beads the more expensive the lead. For some examples of my previous of leads I have done (HERE) I try to use something different on each lead, so I Generally... I cannot Duplicate designs. About Our Buckle Collar Line Our Collars are Manufactured by MENDOTA PRODUCTS in the USA.. You can order the collars either plain, or with our added touch. WE selected Mendota because their collars are made out of FINE English bridal leather from US hides and offer fine stitching and Brass Hardware. We then customise our collars with a assortment of accent pieces and Kangaroo appliqué braids. I do offer Hand dyed Metallic lace- this is a additional cost of $1.00 per lead/collar Collars are Standard choke style, I can make attached collar/lead combos either with a ring or without or attach a fine chain collar. I ship by USPS priority mail and is $5.00 for the first lead and free on additional leads up to 10 leads I do Accept/ prefer Payments By PayPal but can accept personal check or Money order. |

If you want to order a lead E-mail me with your request. I send a Paypal Invoice for payment. For a custom lead.. I need to know Length, Color, End option, Beads to send a Quote. What color, type number of beads you are looking for, I will also send pictures of bead designs for approval. Keep in mind, I check my e-mail about once a day, do go to shows on the weekends, and work a normal full time job..But generally respond within 24-48 hours.
