Talk is what you call a "working bred" addition to our pack, so she "is" a traditional moderate Aussie of different look, Reflecting a dog built to work. We are happy with her conformation, as sound dog that is balanced front to rear and has nice movement. Talk has a look at me and follow you everywhere personality, she comes in a strictly fun and striking marking package. No extra coat here, completely wash and wear kind of girl. This is not a fluffy, heavy boned show dog for sure. Bred by Beth Delozer at Nineveh Ranch in OK, Her pedigree includes many working line dogs of Hanging Tree, Pincie Creek, Starstuff, Peters Ranch, Rising sun among others known in the working venue. She has a different personality, and style on stock than our other dogs, reflecting her pedigree. She is a VERY strong eyed dog, and focused on stock, she is starting to develop a natural grip too. She should prove a challenge for us to train her, and see if we learn a bit about the differences between the lines and their talents. It should also provide us some experience to lean a bit about what skills we need to work on and improve on. She is a "talker" Typical Aussie style, a grunt, bark or yowl when she is excited. Lots of toy and food drive, energy and Attitude. She does not see obstacles, but ways around them. She can get over, under around just about anything, does not matter. She sets her mind to it and she gets it done. She is reserved like a aussie, friendly but not the kind of dog that will just jump into any ones lap, or at least till she knows you. As she is now starting to mature and make some nice progress working the ducks, our goals are for the performance venues with her with a primary focus on stock. Talk is a talented little working girl, earning her Started duck and sheep titles with placements at just a year old! She will be working cattle, sheep and ducks this winter, going for Open and perhaps advanced titles in 2011 Our long term goals to include trying for that hard to earn WTCH We are SO pleased with this little girl, we are making plans for her first litter, PENDING Health clearances and of course more advanced stock titles. This litter is at least a year out, but planning is part of the fun! |
