| About our leads, Kangaroo leather is stronger than other leathers because of it unique properties. As Kangaroo is used it becomes buttery soft and is Lightweight is easy on the hands. Qualities prized by dog handlers. All of our leads are conditioned and treated before we braid the Leather and are made either with or without a core Cores (generally high test braided line) Cores do add some strength and prevent stretching, But PROPER prep work on the leather is Vital for a well finished lead Please be realistic in the use for your lead, 4 thong Braids are suitable for SHOW leads and smaller breed obedience leads. For LARGE DOGS Obedience and rally We suggest a 6 thong lead Use with trained dogs, is always recommended. Be aware official, obedience/Rally regulations may not permit the use of a lead with bead work. I have found some judges object to it, some do not. The truth about Kangaroo leads... Kangaroo is strong, BUT.... They CAN break if abused, conditioned with the wrong products, or being a natural product there is a hidden flaw in the hide that is not obvious when the lace is cut. I currently work with 1/8" (-3mm) lace in a standard 4 or 6 thong round braid. Each lead has a finished width of 1/8-1/4 thick. 4 thong leads are thinner, 6 thong leads a bit thicker. It is important to be realistic about the dog you will be using your lead on, and your responsibility to choose appropriately. I personally use prefer a 4 thong lead with my Aussies, with the 1 1/2 " sized snap, or attached to a collar, or a 6 thong lead with the pullers. I do stand behind my leashes, so In some cases if a lead brakes, I may be able to repair or replace it at no charge or minimal charge to you. For repairs, you are responsible for shipping back to me and sending a SASE to return it... I have a number of leads both plain and beaded listed..That are done and ready to ship. In SOME cases length can be shortened.. If a done lead is a bit to long.. So ask if you like a lead.. If it is too long.. I may be able to shorten it.. Also in some cases I can change a lead from a loop to a snap and vise versa... But this does use up some length on the lead. I do also take a limited number of "made to order" Please.. I do this on MY SPARE TIME AS A HOBBY, AND TO PROVIDE A LITTLE EXTRA CASH FOR SHOWING MY DOGS *GRIN* so custom orders can take 1-2 weeks to make and ship. Orders are limited by what I am working on, or sometimes if I have a particular color of lace or beads in stock BEADED LEADS beaded leads are generally limited the smaller 4 thong braids. I do however offer on occasion a 6 thong braid beaded leads BEADED LEADS are priced the cost of a normal non braided lead, PLUS the bead work, so the more beads, more expensive beads the higher the price The formula I use is the cost of the lead PLUS the cost of the bead work. I try to find/use really nice beads, so a beaded lead is not only attractive but a piece of "fine" jewelry for your deserving dog. Beads can and do add to the expense of the lead.. The more beads Sets of beads the more expensive the lead. For some examples of my previous of leads I have done (HERE) I try to use something different on each lead,, so I Generally... I cannot Duplicate designs. I do on occasion list on e-bay, but due to the massive increases in listing prices, have found it is less expensive to offer leads by direct sale to buyers. Prices Non beaded Hand dyed Metallic lace is an additional $1.00 a lead Collars Standard choke style 4 thong collars, - up 22" $15.00 then 0.60 a inch 6 thong up to 13" 15.00 then $1.10 a inch I ship by USPS priority mail and is $5.00 for the first lead and free on additional leads. I send a Paypal Invoice for payment. For a custom lead.. I need to know Length, Color, End option, Beads to send a Quote. What color, type number of beads you are looking for, we do have several bead sets listed. I will also send pictures of bead designs for approval if you would like. Keep in mind, I check my e-mail about once a day, do go to shows on the weekends, and work a normal full time job..But generally respond within 24-48 hours.
