MuddyFeet Aussies is located in southern New Hampshire.

I started in dogs at a VERY young age, My family has always had dogs, Rescues, various breeds, mixes
and a sled dog team. I officially started with Aussies back in 1985 when I was looking for a breed of dog
that I could continue to compete in 4-H, Agility and Obedience with.
So, I found Aussies.. Our first Aussie was a small NSDR registered Black Bi Female, so it is safe to say
I became officially hooked and involved with the breed. With time, we connected with other Aussie
breeders, Became involved with ASCA then yes even started in AKC..
Now 23 years later we still own several Aussies. We are still are active with our dogs and enjoy both
performance and conformation events. After a long road, we now have a extended family that we are
proud to carry our kennel name Muddyfeet.  Our dogs are in Performance, Show and Companion homes.
Health is important to us.

We Feed and raise our dogs on a rotational diet philosophy and a moderate Vaccination program. Our
diets include high quality kibble, some Raw diet, occasional use of supplements. Not 100% raw fed,
Not 100% commercial diet fed not 100% holistic.. A balance in the middle and Perhaps a bit diffrent
than some breeders but, We have used this diet on several generations of dogs and are very happy
with the health and longevity that we have the pleasure to have in our dogs.

When we do breed..It is only to dogs with exceptional health and temperament, including Free of ANY
skin, Ear or allergy issues.  In addition we also only using dogs certified clear of Eye issues (CERF)
Hip Dysplasia ( OFA and/or PennHip)  and Elbow Dysplasia.  We also use several other test, including
thyroid disease (OFA) cardiac (OFA) Patella (OFA) when appropriate.
We screen pedigrees and collect as much information as possible.

With the advent of DNA  genetic marker test, we now can screen for affected and carrier status of
issues like
MRD1 Gene (drug sensitivity)  CEA (collie eye anomaly)  PRA (progressive rental Atrophy)
HSF4 cataracts mutation
